Happy July 2021 from your Keystone Animal Hospital Family.

We hope you all are staying cool and safe during these hot summer months.

We here at Keystone are very excited to be allowing clients back into the rooms with their pets. We’re so happy to see everyone’s faces again. We continue to become busy and are thankful for all the wonderful recommendations we are getting from our amazing Keystone Client Family.

We wish you a wonderful Fourth of July Holiday. We will be closing on Monday July 5th, in observance of the holiday. So please use one of the local Emergency Rooms in case of emergency.

Thank you for all your love and support!

TRIVIA: Did you know that pets can get sunburns too? The ears, nose, paws, and belly are the most susceptible areas. Signs of sunburn include skin redness, cracked skin around the edges of the ears, or constant scratching at the affected area. Human sunscreen has harmful ingredients such as zinc oxide, which can be toxic to dogs. So, we must be very aware of the exposure time our furry babies get to the Florida sun.

STAYING HYDRATED

Keeping your pets hydrated is even more important during the summer. Have a few water sources around your home and add ice cubes to keep it cool. A fountain is a great way to encourage more drinking! Watch for signs of dehydration: excessive panting, loss of appetite, or loss of skin elasticity.
